I'm a Celebrity

Friday and Saturday was the annual Dixie Celebrity Classic. It was the 20th year anniversary and we had so much fun. I was good enough to play this year and I was a little nervous because everyone else is so much better than me!
Uncle Robert came down from American Fork to play this year and that was such a treat. Grandma B usually plays, but decided to just ride around with us this year.
At the dinner Friday night we honored our long time friend Karl Brooks. He is such an amazing man, and possibly my future father in law??
Mitch and Cassie
We had such a fun time even though it is a lot of stress and work for our family. We took second place in our flight and I won Longest Drive of the Tournament! I even took myself by surprise at my golf skills. Until next year!

Soundtrack

If my life had a soundtrack, David Gray would sing it all. I went with Jared to see David Gray in concert on Monday night at Kingsbury Hall in SLC. It was such a great night. After dinner at Green Street, we went up to watch the concert.
Lisa Hannigan opened, and she was a mix between Norah Jones, Zooey Deschanel, and Sia. Nice and chill. I have been a David Gray fan for a long time now, and he did not disappoint. He is so much better live than on his albums, which is hardly the case with most artists. I am already looking to see where he plays next. Thanks Jared for a fun night!

Chicago

Lindsey and I were getting restless in St. George, so we decided to hop a plane to Chicago for the day. The Windy City really lived up to it's name. It was cold and windy, but we were excited to be there!
We went out to see the historical Wrigley Field before the start of our day. Next was Millennium Park. Cloud Gate or "the big bean" was so amazing. It was seamless, stainless steel sculpture at the beginning of the park.
This is the great lawn and the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. The park was host to so many beautiful pieces of art. I could picture myself here in the summer listening to one of the many concerts they hold here.
The major attraction at the park during the summer is the Crown Fountain. Images of citizens from Chicago are projected onto the fountain, while every hour water pours out onto the shallow pool.
After Millennium Park we boarded a bus down to Navy Pier. While on the bus the driver decides he needs to take his 15 minute break with us still on the bus. Go right ahead, don't mind us.. We finally reached Navy Pier and hopped on the Shoreline Architecture River Cruise.
The tour was the highlight of our trip. Going through downtown Chicago on the river, we saw the most amazing buildings. Such a beautiful city and skyline.
Navy Pier. We ate lunch at the Billy Goat Tavern. Supposedly their double cheezeborgers are world famous. "Cheezeborger! Cheezeborger! No fries, Cheeps! No Pepsi, Coke!"
The Chicago Skyline from our Trolley Tour of the city.
It was such a fun day. We got into the city at 5 am and left that night at 6 pm. It is so nice to be able to hop on a flight and just go. We were so grateful to be able to sit in first class on our way home. The only way to fly!! Can't wait to start planning the next day trip!

Thriller

Last night I went with the fam for our yearly outing to see Thriller at Tuacahn. It was soooo cold! As we tried to keep our noses from falling off, we watched the AMAZING dancing. They added a couple of new routines this year, plus did a tribute to Michael Jackson. Every time I see it just makes me want to dance along with them. Good job Odessey, and Sheridan! See you next year!

Mallory + Andrew 10/16/09

My cousin Mallory was married to her "baby" Andrew on Friday. It was the perfect day. It was so great to get together with family and friends.
Grandma B ..
Blaire and Brooke. I love how even though we are cousins, we still look like sisters..
Reggie.. Isn't he cute!

Morgan got to come up from the OC. Can't wait to visit her soon!
It was such a perfect evening. The night just reminded me how important my family is to me. I love them all so much and I am so grateful for the close bond that we all share.
Now the real question.. who's next..
